theTrademarks Directorate of Iraq – Baghdad has started, January 16,2025, to adopt the 11th edition of the Nice Classification 2017 version, and tolaunch a platform for filing the search applications online and completing allregistration procedures.

Regardingofficial fees, any items in Nice classification 11th edition will be consideredsub-class as in the old Nice classification 8th edition that was used in Iraqbefore.

Thisprocedure is valid for only new applications, the old applications (search notissued yet) & filed applications filed before January 16, 2025 willsubjected to the old Nice classification 8th edition, and the old collectedfees.
